In my last post I asked you all to help me make a decision about which entrée to feature in my cooking class. The results are in and winner is …. drum roll please… the smoked salmon ravioli. Thanks to all who took the time to respond.
The feedback in the responses indicated you were more likely to bid on a class that could be hands on and did not involve a lot of steps. I have the admit, the timpano is a major work. But so worth it. In fact, I am thinking about making it for my mom when she comes in November.
So it will be the salmon ravioli as the entrée. I will do some with homemade pasta and some with wonton wrappers so the class can taste the difference and see how to substitute if you don’t have a pasta machine or don’t want to expend the time and energy rolling out the pasta by hand. The class will also include a recipe for two varieties of bruschetta and a fall fruit crostata. The class will be held in October. Recipes will be posted on this blog after the class.
And for inquiring minds; dinner tonight is home-made pot pies. It was 48 degrees this morning when I got up. Perfect weather for a steaming pot pie of chicken and veggies.
