The weather outside is only mildly frightful – actually for a winter girl like me it’s not frightful at all! We are getting our first real snowfall of the season. It started sometime after we went to bed last night. By the time George left for work this morning we had about 4 inches. We picked up another inch in the last 5 hours. Not exactly a blizzard but off and on bouts of snow. We have a winter storm warning in effect until at least 11am tomorrow morning. I love it.
It would be great if this happened on Christmas Eve but I’ll take it when it comes. We really need the moisture and snow os so much prettier than rain. And I have to admit it makes the holiday decorations look so festive. Of course, with all of the snow, you can barely see the farolitas (luminaria) on the wall. Can’t wait to see how they will look tonight when they are lit. Living here in the southern Rockies has some really good points! Snowfalls like this are one of them.
